After two years of experience at his internet startup during high school, two more years of training at a bank and a degree in finance, Sven Stegemann pursued a bachelor’s program in Philosophy & Economics. He gathered practical experience at a consultancy for corporate social responsibility (CSR) after graduation, followed by a two-year research master`s in Asian Studies at Lund University, Sweden, and Fudan University, China. His studies were concentrated on global issues of sustainability from an economic, political and social perspective and social entrepreneurship. After pursuing a CSR project at Bertelsmann Foundation for a couple of months, Sven Stegemann joined the Association of German Foundations, where he worked as a change agent and researcher on climate change activities of German foundations.
