The BMW Foundation provides fellowships to selected interns already working at the Foundation, with the goal of deepening their academic and practical cross-sectoral training, if

  • the fellow’s project corresponds with the non-profit goals and objectives specified in the Foundation’s statutes,
  • the project grew out of dealing with the Foundation’s programs and themes,
  • the project usefully complements the fellow’s academic and practical training, and
  • it helps the fellow to successfully enter a career following the fellowship.

Designed to conduct and/or deepen interdisciplinary academic research and to provide practical professional experiences and competencies, the fellowship includes the following:

  • a monthly subsistence allowance
  • personal advice and assistance provided by a member of the Foundation’s senior staff
  • coverage of material and travel costs
  • permission to use the office and research infrastructure
  • participation in in-house training events
