Social Entrepreneurship – Reshaping Education

February 23 2011, Munich

The “Social Enterprise” series will be continued in 2011. This year, the focus is on social entrepreneurs and their innovative projects.

The series kicked off with a roundtable talk on February 23, 2011: At the invitation of the BMW Stiftung Herbert Quandt, UBS Deutschland AG, and Ashoka, a small group of selected participants gathered for a discussion on the issue of “Social Entrepreneurship – Reshaping Education.” Following introductory statements on the “Social Reporting Standard” and “Measuring the Effectiveness of Social Projects,” Dr. Heike Schettler, founder and managing director of the nonprofit Science Lab, and Murat Vural from the Intercultural Association for Education and Student Support (IBFS) briefly presented their projects. In two parallel, moderated roundtable sessions, they discussed current challenges and developed new ideas together with a select group of participants.
