BMW Foundation Young Leaders Awards

The annual BMW Foundation Young Leaders Awards recognizes Young Leaders who chart new paths and initiate, develop or support exemplary initiatives for the common good in their professional or private lives. The awards are to serve as an inspiration to chart such new paths, but can also be given in recognition of an already existing initiative. Knowing that one’s job often leaves too little time for outside commitments, the BMW Foundation will provide longer-term assistanc to these initiatives and organize support through its Young Leaders network.

Award Benefits

1. Prize money of up to 30,000 euro. The jury will decide on how to divide the prize money.

2. Support by an advisory team composed of members of the Young Leaders network.

3. Access to the networks of the BMW Foundation through participation in forums and events and meeting the partners of the BMW Foundation.

Timeline

By December 31, 2011 Proposals must be submitted to the BMW Foundation.

January 2012 Pre-selection of applicants by the BMW Foundation. There may be a request for more information/documents. All applicants will be informed about whether they have made it on the short list or not.

March 6, 2012 The finalists present themselves and their initiatives in person or via video conference to the jury in Berlin.

May 3, 2012 Festive Award Ceremony at the Munich Economic Summit in Munich.
